  • Short-Term Goals

Establish an Online Hub: A space for education, resources, and support centered on local wildlife that is welcome to all supporters of wildlife rescue. RocklandWildlife.org

Develop a Trained Rescue Team: Build a network of dedicated volunteers and equip them to rescue injured or orphaned wildlife safely and humanely.

Form a Reliable Transport Network: Recruit drivers to transport wildlife to veterinary clinics and rehabilitation centers. Text 845-558-7931 to join our Rockland Wildlife Transport WhatsApp Chat.

Foster Community Engagement: Host workshops, presentations, and events to inspire empathy and awareness for wildlife in the Rockland community.

Mentor New Rehabilitators: Provide hands-on training and ongoing support to newly licensed rehabbers, promoting high standards in wildlife care.

Recruit a Volunteer Grant Writer: Seek a passionate individual with grant writing experience to secure funding and support our mission to protect and rehabilitate Rockland’s wildlife.

Secure Dedicated Rehabilitation Space: We need to secure a rental space to serve the immediate rehabilitation needs in Rockland County as we continue to grow and raise funds for a permanent rehab center. This space will provide housing and medical care for rescued wildlife.

Source Financial Support: Bring together a Founders' network of passionate donors to underwrite the initial stages of development and set the organization on a path to long-term financial stability.

  • Long-Term Goals

Establish Rockland County’s First Wildlife Rehabilitation Center: This center will be a fully equipped facility where injured, sick, and orphaned wild animals receive expert care. The center will serve as a community space for education and support outreach to foster a deeper connection to our local ecosystems.

Build a Professional Wildlife Care Team: Employ experienced wildlife rehabilitators and a dedicated veterinarian to ensure consistent, high-quality care and elevate the standard of wildlife rescue in Rockland County.
